If the article is factually correct, it is not a surprise, much of these business are still done at golf courses and still based on personal relationships. The CEOs have clubs and private gatherings to foster this special relationships.

The bigger worry now is wondering when the put options are exercised. If the price recovers, it becomes a non-issue, if not, bce takes a big hit.

Two rather extreme scenarios.
