People post about this stock or that stock, not knowing
that greater forces are at work.IMHO.

Since I respect your IMHO <g>, can you make any additional comments RE state of world economy. Since I see it as long as the world is relatively at peace, the overall pace of the world's standard of living (disregarding wealth imbalances), disinflationary pressures and overall productivity gains will continue as they have since the end of the cold war. The only pandemic we seem to be having right now is intolerance no matter what is it's source.
The temporary appreciation of gold and oil can only continue for so long as long as the world economy is dominated by ever increasing economic trade. This trade is primarily dominated by dollars and I sill don't see the gold, Euro or Chinese currencies as becoming new standard.

Maybe I got my patiotic blinders on but I doubt that most of world is ready to give up benefits of economic growth unless it comes at too high a price of those receiving our dollars in exchange for their goods.

If one feels that gold is going to be King then world economy, 1/3 of it being US, is going to suffer and maybe US disproportionally.
