just a guess on "no internet connection" in European hotels. I think a lot of it is that they just have a lot of little hotels, oriented mostly for vacationers rather than businessman, and the upgrade issue is a very serious one. Same thing as adding elevators there 40 years ago. Everything has to be customized. Maybe there is more about the telephone network that makes it difficult too. There is still kind of preference there for ISDN rather than aDSL which was supposed to take off. I don't know why. I would think these problems would make businessmen in Europe more interested in wireless internet.
