<I'm personally seeing my DSL carrier load up their servers to the point that the service is slowing down during the noon hour and also in the time slot of about 4:00PM to 5:30PM. If the bottleneck continues to build they will either lose customers (me!) or will be forced to upgrade equipment and bandwidth. The price for the DSL line or Cable is about the same locally. I've heard that cable is signing up customers at an incredible rate as well. When it gets loaded up enough that we're back to about what a 28.8 Modem will do, then we'll see some action! :-)> Glad to hear this from someone who has DSL. I'm still in the stone age with AOL ISP service, but at this point I'm willing to remain at the slower speeds. However, many individuals, but especially businesses must upgrade to DSL or cable just to stay competitive. Business side of the equation will be the barn burner for this sector. Just a matter of time. Have almost my entire diversified portfolio in CASH so I can wait for those Bozos on Wall Street to come back to the party. Heard a clown on a business talk radio yesterday advising people to stay out of the market. Sounds to me we are getting closer to a bottom with this kind of talk. Even if we get a muted recovery in tech spending, MASSIVE amounts of money on the sidelines (and in some value stocks), should come in to propel the tech issues higher (hey, its where the REAL growth will be).
