Ever seen the goods they claim to deliver? Known anyone who made heaven? Proof?

Comfort. I've seen comfort and peace of mind. There are lots of ways to get there, of course, and the church is just one way.

Main Entry: scam
Pronunciation: 'skam
Function: noun
Etymology: origin unknown
Date: 1963
: a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation <an insurance scam>

The church is only a scam if 1 - God doesn't exist and 2 - They know it. You can't prove either.

Actually I have to correct myself. If what they say happens to be true, but they don't think it is true and just are in the game for money it would still be a scam. Certainly people have used religion to scam people on many occasions but that doesn't mean that religion in general, or the Christianity or the Roman Catholic Church is a scam.
