S&P Futures up 2.5 pts NDX 6 pts. We may get quick but eventually misleading peace dividend tomorrow

Just what I was thinking. This recent decline was not just about the middle east; people were trying to blame it on something. An oil embargo was never really taken seriously because everyone knew it was in the producers' financial interests to take the action. Traders/Investors were just looking to lower PE stocks--alternatives to tech and complex names (tyc, ge). Dollar worries was probably seen by the market as the more serious problem. Would be really interesting to see how Gold behaves, given some hopeful signs in the middle east. That may be what signals equity market direction, imho.
