wbmw, re: AMD mobile market share

AMD didn't say anything specific about mobile market segment shares but with mobile up from the prior quarter ("about 10% on 7.8M" to "1% on 8.0M) it would seem they held ground at worst and were probably up slightly overall. The retail portion may not have held to 40%, however, and certainly given that AMD should have been in a position to make even further progress before the entry of the P4-M I agree with your sentiment. The TBred release has been disappointing so far, particularly since AMD noted they had missed a design cycle - not only is this bad in the short-term it may have been a source of frustration to the OEMs as well.
