Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "Bilow, there is simply no reason to believe, or expect, that the US is EVER going to engage in a massive onslaught against Israqi civilians. Very few Iraqi civilians lost their lives during the most intensive bombardment of a nation since WWII (or Vietnam) and we were only using 10% smart weapons. ... The odds are that the US can economically cripple Iraq with little loss of non-combatant lives. ... "

You don't get the point. Every single solitary military person that has ever been killed or wounded in any war that has ever been fought had civilian friends and relatives.

It's completely impossible, even theoretically, to only hurt combatants in a war. Even if the two countries agreed to send only combatants to fight only on a deserted island, civilians would still be hurt by the war.

Do I have to link in pages showing "unhurt" US or Israeli civilians weeping at the graves of military personnel to prove this to you?

Do you think that only US and Israeli civilians care about their friends and relatives in the military? Or are you convinced that the only way you can "hurt" someone is physically?
