Dan, I agree with you. What's posted on a place like SI is meaningful if you have some of the knowledge framework in place to Frame an opinion post it.

Also there are some posters who if you have followed them for a while, have developed a track record of some insightful commentary, trading ideas etc.

There are some people on investment boards who serve nicely as contrary indicators, although nothing works all the time.

I know for myself, some stocks, or investment areas I have done much more extensive research and followed for a much longer time than others.

With Enron which was the focus of the piece you sighted, I posted this bearish article back in the first half of May of 2001.
