"it is good for us and God is a benevolent creator"..."Omnipotence places God above needs" He wants us to feel good so it will make an appropriate difference for Him. He wants to stop hurting so much. He cares for us because He judges us on a continuum of bad to good--hurting to feeling buzzed...not like it was when He was all alone, and everything was perfect. Even gods have forgotten when it is best to leave well enough alone. Now He has caused Himself to suffer.
