You know, fear that the Euros won't push cdma is a good reason not to license Siemens. I wonder if the good deal MOT has had for years, due initially to its R&D and marketing support in the early years, could be in jeopardy if MOT jettisons infra division to Siemens. MOT won't be able to support cdma in the same way, so why should they be able to manufacture chips or pay a lower royalty, etc. Maybe it's time for Qcom to really play hardball on this one to prevent another cabal member from killing the business.
