Hi Gold,

Actually the world doesn't need Saudi Arabia's oil any more.

nationalreview.com

the war on terror and the U.S. defense of Israel's democracy is not about oil politics. OPEC today controls no more than 37 percent of the world oil market, compared to 55 percent 20 years ago. Today, the new Russia is an ally of the United States, and is challenging Saudi Arabia's status as the world's biggest oil exporter. Of course, the Saudis say they won't use the so-called oil weapon. But if they cut us off it would be devastating to their market share and their already poor economy, as we would swiftly make contractual agreements with Russia, Norway, Mexico, and other oil-exporting friends.

Did you see where the the Saudi Arabians objected to having women in the air traffic control tower when they landed in Houston? So, all women were made to leave. I say "BULLSHIT". Why are we such panty waists when it comes to catering to these a-holes. Don't they know that they are guests of this country and THIS IS NOT A MUSLIM COUNTRY! It's ridiculous that we catered to their medieval belief system. I guess we really do need their oil and our government kow tows to them because of it. Disgraceful, IMO.

< Don't look for Bush to go fishin' with the Prince, but we still need their oil. >

I guess that trumps the fact that Saudi Arabia funded the 9/11 terrorists, and that's where they came from. All of Bush's TALK about going after the source and funding of the terrorists is just that, TALK. Oil was and is his first priority. Halliburton will be pleased by his actions. Expect him to keep blocking any initiatives that work towards fuel efficient cars, like he did by canceling the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles. Too bad, because that is the fastest way to getting off of our Mideast oil addiction.
