Fin, thanks for the 300 mm "coup" info.

AMD backer on the Motley Fool AMD thread made this statement today in a post about Thoroughbred, based on the article below, which is largely in Chinese. The article only shows benchmarks of 1700+ and 1800+ TBred QSpeeds, so I guess by definition they wouldn't be any faster than their Palomino counterparts. Just a shake your head kind of thing, I guess, like, why bother. OK, little lower Vcc, temp.

the benchmarks show no improvement in performance in die shrink TBred.
the results are very close to AXP in same PR number.

One of the remarks is:
TBred improved from XP in core valtage(lower to 1.6v), lower power consumsion and the temperature of the CPU is also lower.
