Mike -- Mr. Norris is much too kind in this article. Pension accounting, and the losses in the pensions themselves (i.e. many plans gone from way over-funded to now under-funded thanks to stupid over-allocation in VC and stocks) will be the 'issue of the year' in 2003 (issue for the year 2002 seems to be shaping up as either off-balance sheet liabilities and/or Wall Street analysts/touts). Our trusty gov't will as usual be closing the barn door well after the horses are gone with congressional hearings into the problem by mid-2003, is my guess.
