If Bush blows it in Afghanistan I will personally escort you to the Bergen County Courthouse to vote for the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States. Well, thank you, sir. I'll keep that in mind. I hope the flip side is not true, that I have to vote for Bush if his administration does well in Afghanistan. ;-) I read the story in the Times this morning. Very special story. It will be interesting to compare in, say 5 or 10 years, the relative fates of Vietnam and Afghanistan. Each was subject to the imperial aims of the two major powers; each suffered severely. How well will Afghanistan do 5 years from now compared to Vietnam at some comparable point?
