Tim, if you are not going to buy that breathing is a human function, meaning that the fetus is now off the mother's life support, then a beating heart is no different. That's why I said that a heartbeat was not a good distinction either. However it is slightly better then breathing as I can stop breathing for a time any time I want to and seem no less human. But it is only slightly better and the difference is so slight as to not be all that significant. So the first brain waves will be the deciding factor and we agree that abortions are good until that point. No. There is no such agreement. Perhaps we might agree that they are not good after that point? Tim
