I did, for several reasons...dual channel Rambus, low IPC etc.

So Intel patched it up the best they could. SDRAM, DDR, added cache, pushed new benchmarks etc. BUT the key was and I knew it a long time ago that it would scale well...and we know Mhz sells. OTOH, Jerry seemed to forget that last detail and now looks like a complete turkey.

Also, you are starting to sound like an AMD apologist. I see you are long...AMD...seems like the historical baseline is at about 8...
