Symmetry

Don, the market seems to like patterns and symmetry is often a big one...

stockcharts.com[h,a]dhclyymy[d20010101,20021231][pc20,50!d20,2!f][pc20!c50!i!d20,2!b100!b200!f][vc60][iut!Uo14!La12,26,9!Lh14,3!Lc20]

April 2001 was a local bottom followed by a bigger bottom in Sept 2001 and now we have a symmetrical local low that is now "testing" the April 2001 lows...

I don't know what the market will do in the short term, but it often stores up good news like a spring... right now, the big money wants cheaper stocks as it seemed clear to me that they missed the bottom in good companies like AMAT and the reports now seem to verify this.

The bears have been saying telecom companies would go bankrupt from debt for years... only now they hit the stocks? Why now do they crash WCOM and TYCO to name a few?

IBM... that is off 30% from a recent peak and its pension fund accounting is nothing new... I actually sold some at $121.50 but .... I won't talk about buying some WCOM to give it all back.

Very strange
