RE: Dynasty years Islanders Those were great years! I marched with my high school band in front of the team, down Hempstead Tpke into the Nassau Coliseum a few years in a row! Bossy, Tottier, Potvin, Goring, Chico Resch, Billy Smith, Bobby Nystrom were my favorites. And Brent Sutter was the good luck charm who came fresh out of the US gold olympic team to win the Cup the same year. Had to sit through a lot of silly changes since then. Especially those stupid Gorton Fisherman Jerseys... They did great this year. These playoffs might help make them a team to contend with in the future. Too green to go very far as far as I'm concerned. But it will be fun watching if they can win one more game...
