Hi DJ, Nothing to do with anything; Just a walk and brief on Hong Kong: The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in has re-activated their Gold Denominated Savings Account service in Hong Kong, presumably because of demand. They had stopped offering the service a while ago (years?) at the HSBC branches but maintained the service at their subsidiary Hang Seng Bank branches.

Second note: Majority of my friends in the financial industry do not believe USA will go after Iraq. They also do not believe the USD will go down, thinking that the US-bound capital flows dropped by one capital exporter will be picked up by another, and in any case, a dropping dollar is good for the USA. They have possibly skipped over the details about chaos, mayhem, screams, and WAT-not involved with sudden and expected price moves in an environment where most are betting one way.

Chugs, Jay
