All of the auto manufacturers are working on fuel cell and/or internal combustion engine autos that will run on hydrogen... Yep, I'm still waiting for those rocket powered turbine cars that were promised back in the 50's/60's. I'm waiting for the hydrogen power Nuclear Fusion from the 70's and various scams/stunts, including "Cold Fusion" from the 80's and 90's. Wrong. The function of a metal hydride is to soak up hydrogen like a sponge soaks up water and hold it safely until heat drives it off IT'S STILL JUST A BATTERY! You could go out to your car lift the hood and aply a large reverse electric charge to your lead-acid battery. That will generate plenty of free hydrogen gases. This is hydrogen that is "absorbed" in the electrolyte. On second thought please do NOT do that since it will probably create an explosion and you could get hurt. The gasoline that you are so fond(sic) of is a mixture of hydrocarbons that are more than 2/3 HYDROGEN! Take away the carbon and you have pure hydrogen. Yes! Something we agree on, finally. I am not going to waste time posting to you again until you learn a little more about the subject. LOL!!! You wasting time on me! Now that's rich. Look mister Commissar of Hydrogen, don't confuse information with knowledge. Point and click to your heart's content. The truth is it's more difficult to prove a negative then a positive. So you've had it easy. Since we're well enough off-topic for this thread I have a suggestion. Start your own thread on hydrogen. You could call it the "The Hydrogen Conspiracy" or "Dems/Libs for Gas". They're probably enough people on SI who agree with your point of view, that will make you fell better. Make yourself the moderator for the thread and you could boot people like me who aren't afraid to challenge your allegations. Gee think how much fun that would be...
