"I read that a Merrill Lynch Analyst was fired yesterday cause he sent his report on TYC to institutional clients without prior approval of his mgmt."

The pity of it is that he was fired for reiterating his Buy (or Strong, can't recall) recommendation, saying that the reversal of the break-up was a good thing. It's described in the hardcopy Journal today, but the DJ wire report doesn't give that detail.
