It's not easy to explain, without getting into the central limit theorem and the laws of large numbers (because of the large number of trades). You have to understand the versatility of percentage in statistical theory when you have continuous variables. One year, 347% of my trades were profitable. Still, I had ask Monty to loan me money to trade the next year. He refused, in part because he was incapable of comprehending simple statistical methods, even though he's an accountant.

I do understand that there has been some rivalry between statistical approaches, but you can't really ignore vectorial analysis in calculating profits. Even during this short rally this morning, my trades have been 104% profitable. You have to allow for sequences, series and summability.
