he will buy a stock for what it represents not for what it represents in value

I challenge you to find me one company that has value but does not represent something important. Your thoughts are defunct if your assessment is “what a company represents and it’s value” are separate entities.

His post is typical of the average investor, this is how they all think. As I said, very few are students of the market = the market is all that matters. Not NEWS, not technology, not anal ysts, not the FED.

Let me get this straight. Technology and or News have nothing to do with the value of a stock? Is there anyone on this thread that agrees with this line of reasoning? If you were truly a “student of the market” then you would know that in order to make real money in the market you have to know how to take risk. The only way to know what risk you should take comes from knowing or having enough knowledge to anticipate which technologies will do well. This requires a great deal of not only market knowledge but that of technical too. If you plan on being long or short the NASDAQ you better have both of these ends covered or you will be covered!

A student of the tech market that claims he doesn’t care anything about the value of technology is a fake; a fraud. How could you stand firm bullish or bearish with no more information at your side than what is on their balance sheet?

You sir are an amateur!
