Of course not, but if you are talking about consolidation of credit card debt and consolidation loans you are usually talking about someone who has a history of problems with credit. I don't seek those people out either, they seek me out and I try to give them the best advice possible.

trade, i don't run balances on my credit cards. im responsible and fortunate to be working so this discussion doesn't even pertain to folks like me. at least not now... knock on wood.

the point is that one simple rule doesn't fit all. sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn't. this point is so important, imho, it ought to be mentioned.
