Another eye opener for folks used to nothing less than 20-30 billion dollar market caps for even smaller techs <ggg> might be to have a look at groups like the airline industry. UAL has a market cap of 781 million and a PSR of .05... GM with sales north of 150B has a market cap of *35* billion. Boeing, a company that might be just a bit more important to the US than the mighty Q has a cap of 35B.

Regards,
John

You are right about QCOM's current Voice business. It will grow at the rate you stipulate. However the Data
(1X DO, SOMA, MMDS etc and many new ones to come)business will grow at triple digit rates for several years to come and far outstrip the voice business. I value these businesses seperately.

Isn't it fun wondering who those people are who insist on buying things at marked up prices? Even regular prices. And they always get mad when you say they paid too much. I wonder about that a lot actually. I guess the advertising industry gets paid for something.

Me, well, I like to defer instant gratification (like lowering one's cost basis...now there is a good reason to buy) and wait for bargains. Agreed, QCOM under 20 will be a bargain and I might just nibble...but only when the charts say it is all clear.

It ain't clear yet.

Good chime in Mike. Rational thought is needed here.
