Mish, the Fed is on May 7 also, so I think that cancels out CSCO.

WOW - double whammy on the 7th.

I do not think one cancels the other NECESSARILY.
I do think they COULD intensify the effect.

1 Bad news on CSCO + rate hike
2 Good news on CSCO + rate hike
3 Bad news on CSCO + no rate hike
4 Good news on CSCO + no rate hike

Those are the possibilities
2 and 3 MIGHT cancel
1 and 4 WILL intensify the reaction for sure

Of course it is all how Greenspan and CSCO SPIN it.
Plus there is neutral spinning both sides

Best guess is bad-neutral news on CSCO and no rate hike.
After the June Rally (is Zeev listening ggg), then we have the rate hike in JULY which tanks the market.

Bottom in October.
Another rally then another strong rebound.
Followeed by another rate hike followed by another tank job.

Then we sit back and wait for the double dip so Greensopan can start cutting again.
