RtS, in past cycles since 1995 rising bookings continued almost monotonously to the peak and so did stock prices. Then we also had V bottoms for bookings. THIS time the bottom was nearly flat for a year. So the worry is: will the rise in bookings follow past history or will it present an unwelcome surprise? I don't know the answer. Sure, somebody here can make the case for a straight up bookings ramp. Somebody else can argue for a sideways movement petering out. We just won't know ahead of time. After all, even those making a living from their predictions have failed dismally.

That's why trading with a portion of the portfolio is so popular now. You can try to make 50 cents almost any day. [PS: I got greedy today and thought I could get $1.10 but it didn't happen and I'm still holding Friday's AMAT. How do you decide when to sell a ST trade? I've been playing it by ear - sometimes placing a limit sell just below the days previous high].
