Clay Christiansen is the "disruptive technology" guy, not Gordon Moore. Moore is into "crossing the chasm" between early techie use, and mass market use.

Isn't the actual global demand for gold at a 5 year low or something due to the slowing world economy ?

Agreed.

Gimmicks don't work, whether it's GG, Nifty Fifty, Dogs of the Dow, etc.

The most valuable process I've seen is the NAIC's--but it is essentially a search for undervalued companies and therefore not really a gimmick.
