JDN,

Ever since the Iranians took over the US embassy in 1979, we have been hearing Muslim countries openly preaching the destruction of the west. It is amazing how all five Presidents since have failed to deal with this insanity in any sort of meaningful fashion. The US has the ability to permanently end the problem in 20 minutes, any time they want to. They should make it abundantly clear that planning to destroy America is unacceptable, and that it will be met with the most severe of consequences.

I would have thought that Sept. 11 was a wakeup call, but last week's meeting seems to indicate otherwise.

Kind of surprised he publicly criticized George as I know he likes him,

This is a great example of why the country moves constantly left. If a Republican politician disappoints the lefties what happens? They attack his position, they attack his motives, they attack his intelligence, and they attack his family.

If a Republican politician whollops his own base' interest what happens. We cluck to ourselves that it must be part of a larger strategy, his heart is in the right place, we must be patient.

Which way is he more likely to move? I think in the direction of least pain.

Bush NEEDS constructive criticism. He NEEDS to hear from US when he screws up.
