< The patent for Ballard Power Systems' fuel cell uses gasoline directly. This is the technology that Ford and Daimler are looking into.

How many times am I going have to prove you wrong? >

Wrong again. Ballard's uses a Proton Exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell, which runs on pure hydrogen. In some test models the hydrogen is supplied by a reformer which is a separate component, and it's only function is to make hydrogen on demand.

Global Thermoelectric makes a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) that can use gasoline and other hydrocarbons, and reforms them internally. They are targeting their SOFCs for auxiliary power units on vehicles to provide power for lighting, electronics, electric AC that can run with the engine off, etc. They are not planning on building SOFCs for propulsion. I have owned GLE since 1999.

Just what is it that you think you proved me wrong about. That's news to me.
