This is not good news..Barrick had only operational earnings not net earnings and they still missed the analysts lowered estimates..something is rotten in Denmark! Strange that with all the analysts covering Barrick and the close guidance of these types of earnings projections that Barrick would still not be able to make the estimates they had fed to the street...Something is very strange in their hedge book I think!

Of course that might be why the management insiders were selling their stock in February...makes sense to have them be front running the shortfall in earnings. No one ever said they were stupid...just not investors in their own company.
