Craig, Ignoring the problem is not a solution. We tried that for 30 years and lost the World Trade Center. Not to mention the 2 hour delay every time we fly, the loss of income from the depressed stock market, and the societal depression and malaise caused by constant fear. The only thing which can cause a war of civilisations is western weakness. Neville Chamberlain tried to appease the Nazis. Do you remember how that worked out for him? Do you honestly think the Arabs would continue to consider "destroying America", if they fully understood the consequences of such behaviour?
