I'm definitely going to read Remnick, Scott. But I'm hoping my mail delivery will bring the hard copy today.

The best essay I've read in quite some time on the ME conflict. It's both comforting and very depressing: comforting in that Remnick manages to talk with voices that might well have been the defining voices even as recently as 2 years ago; but depressing in that these voices simply cannot be heard today.

If you want to think about possibilities that were lost but might yet appear in the future, this essay will help.

It's Remnick at his best. And that's very good.
