Because I believe a massacre did indeed take place and the very fact that Israel stopped the UN's investigation proves that. If it's political posturing by Israel then they have turned the world against themselves. If it's political posturing by the Palestinians then there is one easy way to disprove their claims and that is to let the UN investigators in.
