If you accept Petz's estimates with your modifications it would seem to indicate that Intel would have better yields of "AMD sized die" (if Intel made them) then AMD but nowhere near 50% better. And if you are talking yield percentages rather then defect density it would seem that you shouldn't include his adjustment to get "AMD sized die" figures.

Of course all of this has so many guesses involved that anyone doing the estimates could easily be off by a whole lot.
