In 1947 the UN's partition plan called for both an Israeli and Palestinian state. Israel (I've read the documents) requested all arabs in their would-be state to remain for full and equal citizenship.

As the time grew close for the partition to take effect, hundreds of thousands of Arabs fled from the would-be Israeli state in anticipation of Arab invasion to come. They figured it would be just a few days of war to finish off the Jews and they'd be able to go back.

On the day Israel became a country, all the surrounding Arab nations attacked Israel. Well, guess what, it didn't quite work out the way they planned.

They didn't want a Palestinian state then, they didn't want it when Clinton offered one up a couple years ago, and they don't want one now.

They only want one thing--to push Israel into the sea.

I'm sure if you were able to raise a new generation of Palestinians that has not been trained to want to destroy Israel, you might have a chance with them. But, that will never happen as the Palestinian leadership and the Arab countries will not allow that.

There is only one goal for them.

OT-i think the negotiations in the ME would go a lot smoother if both sides were forced to listen to "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" all day long. the US should drop "audio bombs" that play this song over and over. you would be amazed at the peace-inducing effects of Peanuts -gg-.

<<Palistinians to imitate Gaundi and ML King's non violent methods. The world anfd the Isralis show good conscience and let these people have a country>>

Occupation of Palestine by Jews = 50 years ---> use methods by Gaundi? King?

Sep 11 attack in the US = 1 Day 3,000 lives ---> Attack Afghanistan and put 3 other countries on alert.

Sucide Bombings in Israel = at the most 100 and 3,000 lives ---> attack the entire occupational territory and kill as many as you can.

Isn't this double standard?

I am not going to worry about this any further, I am on my way to a third world country to build a school for children. That is all that is in my control and that is all I can do to have any impact in this world. What is sad is that while we are going to build a school in one country many others are being ruined by war.
