Actually tax burdens for the average American are higher than in the 70's - particularly due to the closing of loopholes and the AMT. And please don't bring up the highest tax brackets of the 70's to defend your point. Stifling government regulation...yes, and we went polar opposite...two wrongs don't make a right. "Inflation": Inflation was due to a combination of irresponsible money supply and supply shocks. You obviously haven't done a lot of reading if you think neither is on the horizon.
