No not nonsense at all. Of course there are many enlightened companies around and there is good PR and business sense in being a good corporate citizen - but I'm looking at the history of capitalist ventures and wondering how working conditions could have changed without unions, as maligned as they have become in some quarters now. The Garment Workers Strike horrified America and it is said that the New Deal started right there in the campaign of Al Smith - appropriated by FDR in the Depression.

I'm all for capitalism with all it's imperfections - but to paint it with angels' wings is to wear blinkers.
