Petz,

<Why didn't you praise Intel to the world when it earned about $1 Billion last quarter - and hasn't posted a loss in 64 straight quarters going back to 1986?>

If Intel had 7 times the market capitalization of AMD, I would praise it, even triple that to reward it for no losses during a recession. But Intel is actually selling at 48x the price of AMD.

I have tried repeatedly to introduce Paul to the concept of share, and values per share. I have not succeeded. He still thinks that a billion profit for Intel is the same as a billion profit for AMD. (Or he pretends to think that when it is convenient).

Joe

John - But Intel is actually selling at 48x the price of AMD.

Such are the benefits for posting 64 consecutive quarterly profits, earning $1 Billion/quarter in the midst of the worst semiconductor downturn ever, and maintaining a technological lead over all competitors for the past 15 years.
Someone at AMD described profits as a great deodorant. Apparently millions of shareholders prefer Intel's smell to AMD's.
