Searle, I see Gore Vidal is on Hardball tonight. He seems to be saying that US authorities were warned about some sort of attack coming on 9-11 and that the messengers of the info were threatened with prosecution under the National Security Act and told to keep it quiet. He also says that the Afghan war was all about securing a route for oil pipelines from the Caspian sea and that the US press is useless for ferreting out the truth. Chris Matthews was pretty much dismissive of the guy's claim. Remember Alex Halley? These men of letters get no respect.
