Doug A K, I do love popcorn, and will be happy to make some for this show. Things will sure be a popping, and I think that this will be worth a large bowl. Maybe we can get all the hedgers to get into a fight, and see who can get rid of their hedges in quick pop time. Maybe Orville will provide his finest, and I will even contribute the correct amount of crisco for the fire. Just hope that we do not catch this dopi -- (that is what my friends daughter called it) on fire. That might start the gold price reaching for the ceiling.

I heard this rumor from a couple of sources. AU could play some games here and get their stock price to what ever they think it is worth. IMO, the bottom line is AU will not get taken over if they do not want to. AU has sufficient power in South Africa to get the government to nix any takeover. Remember the Franco/GOLD get together plan.
