Dave,

I agree with the pessimism about debt loads. Where I disagree is that we are not an island to ourselves. We are in better shape than almost any nation on earth.

So,while we have to pay the piper for our sins,our dollar,IMO,will continue to be stronger than currencies of even more profligate nations than ours. It has to weaken against other currencies and I can't find one better.

The yen is now a third world currency and the Euro can't be what the dollar is,it doesn't represent a unified nation,yet.

However,I agree we will still pay the piper and are currently doing so in fact. Just not as bad as it may get.
