I agree with you on commodities but I can't figure out how to play it other than going into the futures themselves. I wish they sold options on the CRB.

The CRB chart was getting the fuzzy eyeball from me last night and this morning. It sure looks to me like it is in the beginning stages of a serious longer term bull trend. Nice base, pop up and now a fib pullback just as I get more buy signals on it. Weakness in the dollar and all these brand new trade sanctions should cause imbalances of supply along with it taking more devalued dollars to buy a bushel of whatever.

First it was bonds, then small caps, then gold and now commodities probably. Money is looking all over for places to hide and grow.

Natural Gas was a discussion topic last night briefly. Inventories still at 6 year highs and nothing but more additions to stock piles yet the price is holding in the mid 3 dollar range vs 2 bucks when inventories were lower a few years ago. hmmmmmmmm HGT dividends have only been about 2 cents so no big profits with high stockpiles either yet the stock price refuses to drop to single digits.

Late for work and have to run.

Good Luck,

Lee

...Corn...$2

We had a rather dry winter in SD. People are fearing a dry summer. Corn is dry farmed here.

PC ratio is downright bullish here:

However, would have preferred to see better up/down volume to start the rally; 3-1 or so over the last day or two doesn't show a lot of pent up demand after a solid downtrend.

That said, I'm eyeing longs here...

The travelers on 'the Road' have all fragmented- some are back in their trucks and cars, like me, and some are still walking. I seemed to have lost most of them on the Recessionville by-pass. But the walkers have been catching up to the drivers here lately- they could indeed meet up soon unless we get those cars started again. The guys in the 'Gold Truck' have really been getting great mileage this year, as you probably surmised.

It dosn't make much of a conversation when I talk to myself, so it looks like we'll have to wait till the travelers all join up again. Probably be about another 8 months or so before the majority is on the bull wagon with me. Maybe we can get a few episodes in then before i get nervous about the driving. <g>

I always loved that series..... kind of like John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath".

Corn is trading at very low historical levels. Fundamentally, we're probably seeing more uses for it being explored right now.
