Whether or not Siemens takes over MOT's infra division and what they do with it if that happens remains to be seen. But you said "Siemens won't need a CDMA license from QCOM because they're bypassing 3G" - a statement which is patently BS (a strong word for me <g>), and now this:

...Your "facts" look at the past - mine are forward-looking; you won't find any links on the internet...

"Forward looking facts"?? (Well OK, I see the <VBG>). But the real "facts" I pointed you to on Siemens web site were their product offerings and roadmap for UMTS/WCDMA, for which they assuredly will need a royalty bearing license from QCOM, for both UMTS infra and handsets. So they are present facts, not history, and they also point to the future direction Siemens is headed over the next few years, which is UMTS, whether you like it or not, unless they suddenly decide to abandon the 3G market after all these years of standards work, product development, etc.

What Siemens does in the future with Flarion is, at this point not "fact", but speculation, though you can call it whatever you like. They have an equity investment right now, and are part of Flarion's "alliance", but the history of technology is littered with equity investments in failed startups and "alliances" that never came to anything.
