WC, Yet it happened in russia, china, and other places sometimes successfully. The key to success is for the troops to have sympathy with the folks who are protesting leading to a refusal to fire. When that happens the government falls. The clerics in iran are so corrupt and dont have the same type of totalitarian controls in place as iraq. Similar to china at Tiennamen. Will the troops shoot to preserve cleric rule??? Will the clerics order troops to shoot fellow iranians?? I guess the cw answer is yes. I dont know. mike
