AMD seems to think that they can continue to run losses and build a strong company. Sooner or later this model will fail because profits are what will provide capital for expansion and development. You can't say, "wait til next season" forever - unless, of course you're the Cubs.

I see you are unfamiliar with the AMD mindset. You see the object here isn't to make money, it's to harm Intel. If AMD loses money by lowering Intel's profits then they are successful and Jerry trashes Intel and gets a bonus. If AMD loses money and promises to harm Intel in the future then they are successful and Jerry trashes Intel and gets a bonus. If AMD loses money and promises to promise sometime in the future to harm Intel then they are successful, Jerry trashes Intel and gets a bonus. If AMD just simply loses money while Intel makes money and leaves AMD in the dust (like what's happening right now) then Jerry still trashes Intel and gets a bonus. There is a commonality between all these possibilities, can you see what it is?
