See my posts from earlier today - already been answered.

No Rob, you didn't answer the question. What you said was "
Let me turn that question around; where's the wcdma license?" #reply-17413369

I've looked through all your other posts (see below) and all I see are vague references to "other technologies". As I quoted earlier "Siemens has now concluded supply agreements for UMTS technology". What specific system is this if it's not WCDMA?

-----------------------------------------------
I suspect when Siemens takes out Motorola, we'll get a much better sense of where they're headed. Your "facts" look at the past - mine are forward-looking; you won't find any links on the internet #reply-17412307

Siemens is positioned in all of these "4g technologies" indicates they are working hard to avoid high royalty rates. #reply-17412892

wcdma is only one aspect of this evolving standard set. wonder for how long? #reply-17413022

the other technologies will be developed in parallel to UMTS and it will become clear fairly soon that for half the royalty $ (and a piece of the action :^>), these big companies that built the wired internet, can get better results for the wireless internet. #reply-17413604

So that's it eh Rob? Nortel and Lucent and Nokia and all the other equipment suppliers are signing WCDMA contracts with the European carriers, but Siemens is signing contracts for some other "secret" unspecified nonWCDMA UMTS technology?
