I agree with what you say about analysts. What has taken place over the past decade has been the development of incestuous relationships involving top (and in some cases even middle) management of Big Business, accounting firms, analysts, PR firms and even the talking heads that push the products. Then throw politicians into the mix, too.

Is it any wonder that Joe Investor feels violated and the S&P 500 remains in "permanent neutral"?
