Greenland is a Danish possession. Iceland is an independent country. It is counted as part of Europe. Central America is really a part of North America, and therefore Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Panama are strictly part of North America. Additionally, I believe that the Caribbean nations should be counted as part of North America.

North America includes all of the mainland and related offshore islands lying N of the Isthmus of Panama (which connects it with South America).

So that would be Canada, US, Mexico, Guatelmala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama. At least 7 countries.
